For almost 30 years, the Perlen - Queer Film Festival has stood for queer visibility, cultural diversity, and social openness. With a diverse film program, numerous events, and a clear stance, we are much more than just a film festival – it is a vibrant, empowering space for exchange, inspiration, and community. Every year in October, the Perlen team transforms the Kino im Künstlerhaus in Hanover into a place of encounter for nine days: captivating feature films, moving documentaries, surprising short films, and a highly engaged audience that celebrates, reflects on, and makes queer life realities visible.
